Should I trim the tree or remove it?
That depends on the tree, its condition and the problem you need to solve. Share photos and explain what is getting in the way. The suitable approach can then be discussed, with a site assessment where needed.
Can I ask for more clearance over my roof?
Yes. Show the branches and their position relative to the roof, walls and any cables. The extent of safe, appropriate trimming must be agreed for that tree and site.
Will trimming always make a tree healthier?
No such guarantee is made. The purpose and extent of pruning need to suit the tree’s condition. Tell the team about visible damage or concerns before agreeing the work.
Are the cut branches taken away?
Branch removal can be discussed as part of the quote. Say whether you want material removed, retained in a particular spot, or treated as a separate part of the job.
